Belize is hosting this year’s 12th Regional Agricultural Planner’s Forum. The forum began today at the Belize Biltmore Plaza and is a two-day event. It will be followed by various meetings, later this week, with different stakeholders in the agricultural sector of the Caribbean.

Merger Workshop for Competition Authorities in the Caribbean

The Commission is mandated to promote the development and harmonization of competition laws and policy and to facilitate the exchange of relevant information and expertise. In furtherance of the achievement of this objective, the Commission has partnered with the US Federal Trade Commission (USFTC) for a focused Workshop on merger control for national competition authorities in the CARICOM region from Wednesday 18th September 2019 to Friday 20th September 2019 in Trinidad.

Plant health is important for Caribbean tourism declares Minister at the IPPC Regional Workshop for the Caribbean

12 September 2019, Antigua and Barbuda – The 2019 International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Regional Workshop for the Caribbean took place from 10 to 12 September 2019. Representatives from the following 12 Caribbean countries attended the workshop: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago.
