The 51st Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Food Crop Society was held at the Hotel Torarica, Paramaribo, Suriname from July 19-24, 2015.The Theme for the meeting was "Food Safety, Innovation and Quality in Green Agriculture; The Way Forward to Food Security for the Caribbean"
On Monday 19 July, Mr. L. Simeon Collins, Chief Executive Officer of CAHFSA spoke to participants on the topic “Food Safety and Food Security Issues in the Caribbean”.

A Memorandum of Understanding aimed at establishing collaboration between the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) and the Caribbean Agricultural Health and Food Safety Agency (CAHFSA) in areas of standards development and information sharing was signed in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 17, 2015. Signing on behalf of CAHFSA were the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Dr. Beverley Wood and the CEO Mr. L. Simeon Collins. Ms. Anthea Ishmael, Chairperson of the Council of CROSQ and Mr. Russell Franklyn. Officer in Charge who was acting for the CEO of CROSQ, Mr. Derek Omar, who was unavoidably absent, signed on behalf of CROSQ

Equipment and supplies which were stored at the Ministry of Agriculture and the CARICOM Competition Commission (CCC) and included office furniture and appliances, four desktop computers and video conference equipment were officially hand over to CAHFSA .on August 31, 2015. These supplies were provided by the EU under the 9th EDF CISP at a value of 112,987 Euros.
