The Caribbean Agricultural Health and Food Safety Agency (CAHFSA) is participating in the Performance of Veterinary Services (PVS) Pathway Orientation Training Workshop for the Caribbean, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Saint Lucia from 8 April to 10 April 2026.

This year the 26th Meeting of the CARICOM Committee of Chief Veterinary Officers
(CCCVO) was hosted in St. Eustatius, following the conclusion of the VIIth CaribVET
meeting from 23rd
-24th March 2026. The CCCVO meeting brought together representation
from 20 CARICOM Member States.

The Caribbean Agricultural Health and Food Safety Agency joined regional partners in celebrating excellence at the Distinguished Veterinary Services Award Gala, held on the evening of Tuesday 24 March 2026, following the conclusion of the 7th CaribVET General Assembly.

Our Mandate
CAHFSA is mandated to perform a coordinating and organizing role for the establishment of an effective and efficient regional sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) regime and to execute on behalf of Member States such SPS actions and activities that can be more effectively and efficiently executed through a regional mechanism.

The following Agreement gives force to CAHFSA:
- Revised Agreement Establishing the Caribbean Agricultural Health and Food Safety Agency (CAHFSA): February 25, 2011;
- Revised Treaty of Chagaramas (Articles 57 and 74).
