August 6, 2026Food Safety Culture Webinar
The Caribbean Agricultural Health and Food Safety Agency (CAHFSA) invites food service, tourism, hospitality, food manufacturing, regulatory, quality assurance, inspection, and food safety professionals to participate in a Free Food Safety Culture Training Webinar on 27 August 2026, from 09:00 AM – 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) via Zoom.
The webinar will focus on strengthening food safety culture by helping participants better understand how leadership, communication, accountability, employee awareness, and everyday behaviour contribute to safer food practices. Participants will gain practical insights into how organizations can move beyond compliance and support a culture where food safety is consistently understood, valued, and practiced.
The session will also touch on Codex text guidance that supports food safety culture, management commitment, employee accountability, and continuous improvement within international hygiene standards. This will help participants connect food safety culture with recognized international guidance and practical implementation within food businesses and food service operations.
The session will be facilitated by Jamillah David, a Food Technologist, Certified Food Safety and Quality Auditor, consultant, and educator with over 14 years of experience across food manufacturing, processing, food service, and regulatory compliance. She holds an MSc in Food Science and Technology and is a Preventive Controls Lead Instructor.
